Class B (or Class B with E restriction): Equipment: 31,000 pound single axle dump truck with full air brakes and 6-speed synchronized manual transmission. This class is a 4-day course which includes training for the pre-trip inspection, skills test and road test. The truck will be used at the end of the course to take your test. An automatic truck is also available for those wishing to get a Class B with E restriction. An E restriction limits the driver to only vehicles with automatic transmissions. Cost is $800 plus a $150 fuel surcharge. In the event of a failure, the cost for retraining is $600 minus $100 per test successfully completed plus the fuel surcharge

Class B with P Endorsement: Equipment: 33,000 pound bus with full air brakes and automatic transmission. This class is a 4 day course which includes training for the pre-trip inspection, skills test and road test. The bus will be used at the end of the course to take your test. Cost is $800 plus a $100 fuel surcharge. In the event of a failure, the cost of retraining plus bus rental is an additional $600 minus $150 per test successfully completed plus the fuel surcharge.

Class A with O restriction (or Class A with E and O restrictions): An O restriction prohibits you from driving a tractor trailer with a fifth wheel connection, but allows all other types of combination vehicles such as gooseneck or pintle hook, etc. The truck is the same as Class B and the trailer is a 18 foot 12,000 pound ball hitch trailer. An automatic truck is also available for those wishing to get a Class A with E and O restrictions. An E restriction limits the driver to only vehicles with automatic transmissions. This class is a 5-day course which includes training for the pre-trip inspection, skills test and road test. The truck and trailer will be used at the end of the course to take your test. The cost is $1100 plus a $150 fuel surcharge. In the event of a failure, the cost for retraining plus truck rental is $700 minus $100 per test successfully completed plus the fuel surcharge.

Class A with E restriction: An E restriction prohibits you (in some states) from driving a manual shift transmission tractor trailer. This is a perfect class for those who have a Class B license without an E restriction who are looking to upgrade to Class A. Those holding a Class B license without an E restriction would be grand- fathered to Class A without restriction.

The truck and trailer will be used at the end of the course on the fifth day to take your test. The cost is $1500 plus a $150 fuel surcharge. All classes require a $250 reservation/documentation fee to guarantee the training time.

Great class. Larry is a great instructor. They definitely get you ready for your test. They get you ready in 1 week what takes other schools 6 weeks. I would suggest if your thinking about getting your cdl to come to CDL Assist.

My experience with CDL Assist was very positive. The information provided before the in person classes was very helpful, but only if you take the time to learn it. Read their website closely…it is fast paced and intended for those people with some trucking skills. The instructors are willing and able to teach you the maneuvers you need to know to obtain your CDL. Nice family business. Thanks for the “CDL Assist”

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Coming into this course knowing it was only a 4 day program, I was nervous. They have great instructors though and they were able to teach the program very well. The instructors are all cool and make the program fun. When it's time for class A, this is the school I'll be coming to. Thanks guys, especially Zach!

Cdl assist was absolutely incredible. My instructor was Ron and he normally doesn't teach a class because he's a manager there. Ron was very patient and when I was struggling he was able to help get me through the area I struggled in and made everything super easy to remember. This is seriously the place to go. It's fast pace and you must be willing to take in every word they tell you. Be ready to learn and you will succeed.
