Equipment: 31,000 pound single axle dump truck with full air brakes and 6-speed synchronized manual transmission. This class is a 4-day course which includes training for the pre-trip inspection, skills test and road test. The truck will be used at the end of the course to take your test. An automatic truck is also available for those wishing to get a Class B with E restriction. An E restriction limits the driver to only vehicles with automatic transmissions.
Cost is $800 plus a $150 fuel surcharge and a $100 examiner fee which must be paid in cash. In the event of a failure, the cost for retraining is $600 per day plus the fuel surcharge.
